New moon in aquarius: february 2019
Blessings for the New Moon in Aquarius! This New Moon comes to us at a cosmic midpoint. Located exactly between Neptune, the planet of dreams, and Saturn, the planet of reality, the Aquarius New Moon is encouraging us to take action to bring our dreams to life.
The New Moon in Aquarius also falls near the Gaelic celebration of Imbolc, the half way point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. “Imbolc” means “in the belly,” because now is the time where seeds are beginning to stir, both in the Earth, and in our lives. Imbolc celebrates the pagan goddess Brigid and the Catholic Saint Bridget who are honored for their gift of fertility. Aquarius, the water bearer, also brings fertility by watering the seeds that are meant to come to fruition during this turn of the wheel of the year.
What seeds have you been holding onto that are ready to come to the light? What actions are you willing to take to let your dreams come to reality this year? If you’re feeling a little nervous about this new undertaking, you don’t have to do it alone. Aquarius is also a very humanitarian sign and loves giving and receiving help from family, friends, and community. This year, the Aquarius New Moon also falls on the Chinese New Year of the Pig, so how can you honor the friendly, playful, and abundant nature of the pig while you do the good work to turn your dreams into reality?
